Late Rally by G-Strings Secures Win
|
Greenville pitcher Vicente Durán gave the G-Strings all they could handle, but in the end, Nashville left Michigan & Trumbull with a 7-6 win. Durán allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits over 6.1 innings. The winner was Nashville reliever Germán Pérez, now 3-2. The loser was Ricardo Trujillo. Kimitada Takai converted his 6th save in 7 tries.
Ramón Morales had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the eighth for the G-Strings. Coming up with a runner on 1st and Nashville trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run home run.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Morales told the Nashville Citizen.
The G-Strings have now won 7 straight.
