D-Bags Win in Glorious Fashion
|
Roland Martin never let the Stars get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his change up, to pitch the D-Bags to a 2-0 win. John Hall picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. José Valdéz was tagged with the loss. The win leaves Jersey Shore with a record of 3-3.
Jersey Shore won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and José Valdéz on the mound for Springfield, left fielder Dave Dodd hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing D-Bags fans to their feet.
In postgame comments to the Jersey Shore Observer, Dodd said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
