Thomas English really sizzled at the plate in today's 19-2 win over Patriots. The Fresno HS shortstop blistered John Jay HS for 5 hits in 7 at-bats.

"English was too tough to get out today," the Patriots skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."

Thomas English grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

This year English has hit at a .464 clip with 17 RBIs, no home runs and 22 runs scored.
