Mark Helps Noise Run Win Streak to 3
|
Nevada played host to Austin at the friendly confines of Branda's Palace.
The Nevada Noise defeated the Austin River Sharks, 11-2, at Branda's Palace. Nevada shortstop Bill Mark was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Noise bumped their record to 38-28 with this latest triumph.
Mark came through with some timely hitting for Nevada. With the score 2-2 in the bottom of the fifth and one down, Mark hit a 2-1 sinker for a run-scoring single. His 37th hit of the season made it 3-2, Nevada.
"We took it on the chin today," said losing manager Manny Pueblo.
