Victory Pushes G-Strings Record to 29-25
|
Chicago right fielder Edward Bennett had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Bennett slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice, even as Nashville beat the Machine, 6-3. Bennett was named the player of the game despite the loss. Nashville has now won 3 straight, while the Machine have lost 3 in a row.
It could have been a different outcome for Nashville, had it not been for Eric Thompson, the 25-year old first baseman . Thompson contributed a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put Nashville up, 6-3.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Thompson.
