Red-Hot Gallegos Scorches Bronze Souls
|
Richie Gallegos really sizzled at the plate in today's 15-4 win over Bronze Souls. The El Paso catcher blistered Beaverton for 5 hits in 6 at-bats.
"Gallegos was too tough to get out today," the Bronze Souls skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
Richie Gallegos grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Martín Martínez in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
Gallegos is hitting .420 so far this season with 11 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has 21 hits including 3 home runs, 5 walks and .473 OBP.
