|
The 2030 season is getting ugly for Portland.
San Francisco left-hander Manuel Rodríguez pitched his team to victory over the Portland Cards at Bay View Park. The final score was 7-3. Kunihiko Daikawa earned the save, his 14th.
The Bandits got a big at-bat from left fielder Chris Austin. For the game, Austin was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave San Francisco a 5-3 lead.
Rodríguez told a San Francisco Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The last-place Cards have lost 5 straight games.
