Rebels Prevail, 3-1, Over San Francisco
|
Boston pitcher Claudio Segura did his part in helping his team beat the San Francisco Bandits, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Segura got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 8 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. Segura allowed 1 earned run. Enrique Muńóz finished the game for Boston and earned his 2nd save.
The Rebels got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ken McDonald. For the game, McDonald went 2-5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the seventh, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Boston a 3-1 lead.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said McDonald.
With the win, Boston elevates its record to 3-2.
