The Austin River Sharks picked up a win at Fenway Park, knocking off the Boston Rebels, 5-3. On the mound for Austin was right-hander Troy Lynn, who played a pivotal role in the win. Lynn went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 2-2. The River Sharks are now 16-27, while the Rebels fall to 20-22.
José Liñares, who is rated as the 75th best prospect by BNN, aided the Austin cause with a 2-run single in the top of the third. For the game, the shortstop went 1-4, while adding 2 RBI.
In comments to the Austin Today, Lynn admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
