Kono Helps Kings Run Win Streak to 5
The Kansas City Kings grabbed a 7-4 win over the Maui Tropics at Rainbow Stadium. Kansas City designated hitter Toshimichi Kono went 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once to earn player of the game honors. Kansas City has now won 5 straight.

Kono had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-1 fastball from César Rúbio, he banged a grand slam home run to left-center, giving the Kings a 7-4 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Kono.

"Feels good to get the job done," Kono said after the game.
