Townsley Slaps 5 Hits
The Memphis Blues stopped the Wichita Wranglers by a score of 13-6 at Park of Memphis today, with the lion's share of the credit going to center fielder Brandon Townsley. The 23-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Townsley said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Townsley did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Wranglers.

"Not much that I can say," offered Wichita manager Andrés Rentería. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Brandon Townsley singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Josse Teves in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.

Townsley is hitting .268 in 2030 with 23 RBIs and 5 home runs.
