Manuel Ortega put on a hitting clinic today as the Gainesville Guidos dumped the Montgomery Biscuits 18-1 at The Guido Ghetto.

The Gainesville center fielder made Montgomery defenders earn their pay, lashing Montgomery pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Ortega said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Manuel Ortega singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
