Dominant Performance by Castro in Kalamazoo Win
The Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese got a strong performance from pitcher Salvador Castro, who stymied the Austin offense en route to a 3-0 win at Greendale Community Field. Víctor Reyes earned the save for Kalamazoo, his 8th of the year. The River Sharks fall to 12-21 and continue their lackluster start in 2030.

Castro was in the zone all game. He frustrated Austin hitters while giving the Royale with Cheese 7.1 innings of quality work. Castro threw 96 pitches, allowing 5 hits and getting 8 punchouts.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Castro told reporters after the game.
