Bandits Lose, 5-2, at The Ballpark at Irvine

Irvine Gang Green starter Jesús De Los Santos turned in a top-notch performance against the San Francisco Bandits at The Ballpark at Irvine. The result was a win for the Gang Green, 5-2. The winning pitcher was De Los Santos, now 5-2. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. The Bandits fall to 14-19 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2030 season.
The Gang Green got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jeff Daniels. For the game, Daniels was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Irvine a 4-2 lead.
In postgame comments to the Irvine Citizen, Daniels said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
