Trinidad on Fire, Strikes out 15 Noise
|
Orlando Trinidad of the So Cal Bruins put on a pitching clinic today at Branda's Palace as he struck out 15 Nevada Noise in a 3-0 victory. Trinidad, who is tied for 4th in the NL with a 10.0 K/9 rate, was simply magnificent as he held the Noise to 1 hit. He walked 4.
"I felt okay at the beginning," Trinidad said, "but eventually my fastball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."
When asked about Trinidad's performance, Bruins manager Jorge Rivera shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
So far this year Trinidad has made 7 starts, tossed 41.1 innings, struck out 46 batters and walked 30. His record is 2-1 with a 2.83 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .184 batting average.
