Bruins Win at St. Louis, 3-2
|
The So Cal Bruins picked up a win at Gateway Stadium, knocking off the St. Louis Browns, 3-2. Starting pitcher Riley Johnston played a key role in the triumph. Johnston picked up the win for So Cal, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. So Cal, now 17-11, has gotten their season off to a good start.
Earl Wiggins swatted a solo home run for So Cal in the top of the sixth. The catcher went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 1.
