It was a good day at Bill Robinson Field. The Spokane Trappers whipped the Mile High Broncos 17-0 and shortstop Freddy Padilla showed off a hot bat, going 5-for-5 at the plate.

"Some days, lady luck is on your side," Padilla told BNN reporters after the game.

Trappers manager Tommy Hunt told the beat writers otherwise, calling the 33-year-old "focused and patient."

"It's not luck," he said. "He has a solid approach to hitting. Freddy hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have."

Freddy Padilla doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.

Padilla is presently hitting at a .440 pace with no home runs and 11 RBIs. He has played in 25 games and scored 8 times.
