River Sharks Throttle Knights, 5-1

Austin and New York put this game in the books despite some rain.
José Pérez never let the Knights get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the River Sharks to a 5-1 win. Pérez, now 2-3, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 1 earned run.
Andy Aiton chipped in for Austin with a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Austin manager Manny Pueblo.
The River Sharks, with just their 7th win so far in 2030, have yet to catch fire.
