The Seattle Pikes defeated the Chicago Machine, 6-3. Earning player of the game honors was right fielder Richard Hunter, who went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Orlando Cruz picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 3 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 2-1. Francisco Carrasco got the save, the 8th for him this season.
António Hernández, who is tied for 6th in the CL in triples with 2, aided the Seattle cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 4.
