Ortega goes 4-for-4, Bellas Move to 14-8
|
The Pocatello Bellas bested the Greenville 84s by a score of 7-4, with first baseman António Ortega getting the main credit. On the day, Ortega went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Bellas. Pocatello reliever Nelson Ortega was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Andrés Vázquez took the loss for Greenville. The Bellas keep rolling, raising their record to 14-8.
Early in the game, Ortega had a 3-run home run for Pocatello. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Bellas on top, 4-1.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Pocatello manager Danny Lombardi.
