Guerrero Helps Stars Run Win Streak to 8
The Springfield Stars downed the Maui Tropics, 10-4, at Kekambas Park. Felipe Guerrero led the way, going 2-for-3 for Springfield. Springfield starter Claudio Martínez was credited with the win after throwing 107 pitches over 7.2 innings. His record now stands at 4-0. The Stars have hit the ground running, raising their record to 12-5. While it's still too soon to talk about Springfield hoisting their 1st BSA Championship trophy, fans are getting excited about their strong start.

The Stars got a big at-bat from right fielder Derek Davidson. For the game, Davidson was 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Springfield a 2-1 lead.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Guerrero told the Springfield Bulletin.
