Unicorns Jones Smacks 5 Hits
It was a parade of hits for John Jones of the Utica Unicorns at The Lair in Charlotte today.

Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Jones finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Unicorns to a 17-6 victory.

"Jones was really good and we were really bad," groaned Archdukes manager Allen Smith. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."

John Jones walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, singled in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.

Thus far this season Jones has hit .397 with 4 home runs, 24 RBIs and scored 28 times.
