Sheens Drop Another One
|
Despite a great performance by St Charles left fielder Randy Wiggins, the St. Louis Browns defeated the Sheens by the score of 7-5 at Crown Royal Stadium. Wiggins was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Scott Walker, credited with the win, is now 3-0. He allowed 4 runs on 9 hits in 5 innings. Huang Chen picked up the save, his 6th.
Mike Hill swatted a 2-run home run for St. Louis in the top of the fifth. The left fielder went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 2.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said St. Louis manager Jeff Porter.
The Sheens, now 4-12, continue their poor start.
