The Pocatello Bellas picked up a win at The Ballpark at Sloss Furnace, knocking off the El Dorado Oilers, 6-1. Starting pitcher Kevin Bush, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Bush got the win, improving to 17-6. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 9 innings. Bush allowed 1 earned run. Pocatello has an impressive 111-40 record.
José Rivas aided the Pocatello cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
Rivas told a Pocatello Daily News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
