Kings Prevail, 5-3, Over Vista
|
The Kansas City Kings picked up a win at Stone Brewery Stadium, knocking off the Vista Panthers, 5-3. Starting pitcher Randy Mailman, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Nick Parks notched his 24th save in 30 chances. Kansas City has now won 3 in a row.
In the top of the fifth inning, catcher Rafael Carreón came through big-time for the Kings. With Kansas City leading 2-1, he belted a 3-run home run.
"Randy is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Kansas City manager Ernesto Durán.
