Despite a great performance by Pocatello center fielder Buck Jones, the Nashville G-Strings defeated the Bellas by the score of 12-10 at New BRO Stadium. Jones went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Noriyuki Matsui picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-0. Adrián Martínez was tagged with the loss. Mario Machado converted his 12th save in 14 tries.

The G-Strings got a big at-bat from designated hitter Richard Olvera. For the game, Olvera was 1-5 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the top of the seventh, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 3rd double of the season gave Nashville a 12-10 lead.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Olvera. "And not try to do too much."

The G-Strings bumped their record to 81-65 with this latest triumph.
