The Springfield Stars bested the Seattle Pikes, 9-2, at Pikes' Point Stadium. António De La Cruz was named player of the game. He went 2-3 with 2 singles and 3 walks, while scoring 4 times. José López, credited with the win, is now 16-5. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits in 6 innings. John Livingston notched his 1st save in 2 chances.
Felipe Guerrero, who is tied for 4th in the CL with a .574 slugging percentage, helped out the Springfield cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the left fielder was 3 for 5 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Guerrero.
