Victory Over Pikes Takes Springfield to 100-42
The Springfield Stars defeated the Seattle Pikes, 13-4, at Pikes' Point Stadium today. Leading the charge for Springfield was third baseman Gabriel Erwin. He was 4 for 6 with a triple and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The winner was Brock Morris, who threw 89 pitches over 6 innings. The left-hander was charged with 4 runs on 7 hits. Luis Cortéz was credited with the save.
