Rivería Helps G-Strings Run Win Streak to 4
|
The Nashville G-Strings bested the St. Louis Browns, 7-4, at Gibson Guitar Park. Miguel Rivería was named player of the game. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Bill Moore picked up the win, improving his season record to 15-6. He struck out 2 in 6 innings. Nashville has now won 4 games in a row.
Rivería contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Nashville in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, Rivería took a changeup from Ramón Ruíz and stroked the home run to right. His 17th home run of the season allowed the G-Strings to leap in front, 3-2.
"I felt good up there," said Rivería. "I saw the ball well."
