The Nashville G-Strings got a good effort from starter George Moore in defeating the St. Louis Browns at Gibson Guitar Park. The final score was 2-1. Mario Machado converted his 9th save in 11 tries. The G-Strings bumped their record to 77-61 with this latest triumph.

Moore dominated for Nashville, raising his record to 17-6. St. Louis hitters had few good at-bats against the left-hander, who scattered 4 hits over 8 innings while striking out 7.

"Runs were at a premium," said Nashville manager Raúl Muñóz.
