Dodd Slaps 5 Hits
Dave Dodd of the D-Bags was unstoppable in today's 26-4 victory over the Seattle Pikes at Pikes' Point Stadium. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats.

"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Jersey Shore right fielder after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will."

Dave Dodd doubled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 8th.

This year Dodd has collected a .332 batting average to date with 169 hits in 509 at-bats, 112 RBIs, 34 home runs and scored 100 times. He has played in 127 games.
