New York right-hander Tony Meyer pitched his team to victory over the Nassau Rockets at Nassau Grounds. The final score was 5-2. The winning pitcher was Meyer, now 8-9. The Knights got a big at-bat from designated hitter Mark Wells. For the game, Wells went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 32nd home run of the season gave New York a 3-0 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Meyer told the New York News.
