|
El Dorado right-hander Mark Anderson pitched his team to victory over the Nassau Rockets at Nassau Grounds. The final score was 4-2. The winning pitcher was Anderson, now 2-0. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 6. Kuang-yin Yue picked up the save, his 4th.
Tied up with the Rockets in the top of the fourth inning, the Oilers got a boost from third baseman Mathew Clayton. With a runner on 1st, Clayton saw a 1-2 curveball from David Contreras and hit a run-scoring triple to break the stalemate and put El Dorado on top, 3-2.
"Feels good to get the job done," Clayton said after the game.
The win leaves El Dorado with a record of 7-6.
