5-Hit Blitz by Alonzo

There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Brent Alonzo is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the El Dorado Oilers at The Ballpark at Sloss Furnace today. The monster effort from the 29-year-old second baseman helped the So Cal Bruins take the win, 9-1.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Oilers manager Gerardo Suárez. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Brent Alonzo doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run double in the 8th.
Currently Alonzo has 5 home runs and a .300 batting average.
