Gang Green Turn Back Baffin Island, 3-1

Mike Marrero never let the Beavers get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Gang Green to a 3-1 win. The Gang Green bumped their record to 63-43 with this latest triumph.
The Gang Green got a big at-bat from third baseman José Salazar. For the game, Salazar went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 29th double of the season gave Irvine a 2-1 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Marrero told the Irvine Citizen.
