Not everyone stuck through the 41-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
The Austin River Sharks topped the Kansas City Kings, 8-2, in Continental League action at Greendale Community Field. The player of the game was Austin pitcher António Rijo. The win gives Austin a record of 5-6.
The Kings had trouble solving Rijo, who surrendered no earned runs on 3 hits over 7 innings.
