Beard Helps Bellas Run Win Streak to 5
|
A 3-RBI performance from center fielder Keith Beard, who is tied for 6th in the CL in doubles with 28, led the Pocatello Bellas to a 7-4 win over the Boston Rebels. Dionisio Penni was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts. The first-place Bellas, at 73-30, now lead their division by 16 games.
Pocatello took a 7-4 lead on Beard's 125th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which he hit off Keith Hill in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Pocatello to the win.
