The Nassau Rockets relied on the hitting of first baseman Wallace Greene to stop the Maui Tropics, 5-2. For the game, Greene went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Chris Marshall earned his 8th save in 14 chances. Maui has now lost 5 in a row.
With Nassau trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Greene hit a changeup from Steve Floyd for a run-scoring single. It was his 99th hit of the season and put the Rockets ahead, 2-1.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Greene told reporters after the game.
