Losing Streak Continues for Bandits with 2-0 Loss to 84s
|
The Greenville 84s faced a tough opponent in San Francisco pitcher Jesús López, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Bay View Park by a final score of 2-0. López went 6 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Greenville reliever Ed Stevens got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Jesús López was tagged with the loss. The losses continue to mount for San Francisco, which has now dropped 10 in a row.
The 84s got a big at-bat from catcher Casey Fox. For the game, Fox was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 8th double of the season gave Greenville a 2-0 lead.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Fox.
