Hitmen Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
Hendersonville Hitmen starter Júlio Torres turned in a top-notch performance against the Nassau Rockets at Nassau Grounds. The result was a win for the Hitmen, 3-1. The Hitmen are off to a tough start, getting just their 4th win in 11 games.
The Hitmen got a big at-bat from third baseman José Estreito. For the game, Estreito went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Hendersonville a 2-1 lead.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Estreito told the Hendersonville Chronicle.
