Browns Top Hitmen Behind Sandusky, 2-0
The first-place St. Louis Browns picked up another win at Gateway Stadium.

St. Louis starter Jeff Sandusky put a stranglehold on the Hendersonville offense. The left-hander had complete command of his cutter in leading the Browns to a 2-0 win. Jorge Pérez got the save, his 3rd in 5 chances.

Sandusky, the winning pitcher, raised his record to 9-5. In 8 innings of work, Sandusky gave up no earned runs on 2 hits, while racking up 6 Ks. He kept the Hitmen punchless, offensively.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Sandusky.

St. Louis leads the Continental League Eastern Division by 13½ games.
