Bellas Even With Aces After Extra-Innings Win
|
Pocatello starter Hong-ryul Yun turned in an exceptional performance and got some last-minute help as the Bellas forced the BSA Championship into a decisive Game 7. The left-handed Yun threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball in a must-win situation against the Kenilworth Aces, keeping Pocatello close enough to take the 3-2 victory on a 10th-inning walk-off. The winner of the series will advance to the Round 5.
Shane Hutchinson, who is a two-time All-Star, chipped in for Pocatello with a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 RBI.
Yun said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
Game 7 is set to be played tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Walt Burton for Kenilworth and Kevin Bush for Pocatello.
