Entwistle Handcuffs Bellas, Aces Seize 2-1 Advantage in R4
|
The Kenilworth Aces got a strong performance from pitcher Erwin Entwistle, who stymied the visiting Pocatello Bellas en route to a 9-2 win in Game 3 of the BSA Championship today. The Bellas could never get a bead on the right-handed Entwistle, who threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball to earn player of the game honors. The Aces now hold a 2-1 in the best-of-7 series.
Jorge Jiménez, who was drafted in the three round of the 2020 draft, chipped in for Kenilworth with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
Pocatello manager Danny Lombardi said his team was "out of sync."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Play Rocks Field in Kenilworth. The scheduled starters for the game are Nelson Ortega for Pocatello and Scot MacIntosh for Kenilworth.
