García, Pocatello Start League Championship Strong with Home Win
The Pocatello Bellas started the League Championship in style today, downing the visiting Springfield Stars at New BRO Stadium by a score of 11-5 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Bellas first baseman Roberto García was named player of the game after he went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3.

García had a big at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the first inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Bellas went on to win.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said García.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at New BRO Stadium. Slated to start are Rien Middelkamp for Springfield and Nelson Ortega for Pocatello.
