Pearson, Stars Sink Browns Again in Game 3
The Springfield Stars are one game away from a sweep of the St. Louis Browns today after a 4-3 road win at Gateway Stadium. Stars second baseman Mike Pearson was named player of the game, as he was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Springfield now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Divisional Round.

Pearson delivered in the top of the third inning for Springfield. With the game tied and runners on 1st and 2nd, the second baseman hit a 3-run home run to center.

Pearson told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.

Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow. Slated to start are Kyu-pyeong Pak for Springfield and Ramón Ruíz for St. Louis.
