Vista Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 2-1
The Vista Panthers have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Pocatello Bellas, winning 3-2 at Stone Brewery Stadium today. Panthers right-hander Dillon Nelson was named player of the game after he threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Panthers to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Divisional Round.

Nelson was in the zone all game. He frustrated Pocatello hitters while giving the Panthers 8 innings of quality work. Nelson threw 93 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 6 punchouts.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Nelson said after the game.

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Nelson Ortega for Pocatello and José Salinas for Vista.
