Kenilworth Win Divisional Round

The Kenilworth Aces said they are ready for the challenges ahead in the Baseball Stars Association playoffs.
The club passed a big hurdle tonight, eliminating the Baffin Island Beavers in the Divisional Round to advance to the League Championship. Kenilworth won the final game by a score of 3-1 at Play Rocks Field and took the series 4-1.
"Everything is falling into place and going how we expected it to play out," said series MVP Dave Smeddon. "We've just got to keep momentum rolling."
The Aces kept excitement rolling in their clubhouse after the game, as the team celebrated the Divisional Round win into the early morning.
"They played great ball, they deserve to celebrate," said a solemn Baffin Island manager Carlos Castillo.
For the series, Smeddon had a 0.00 ERA over 9 innings pitched. He added 6 strikeouts with a 1-0 record.
The Kenilworth Aces don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the New Orleans Looters - So Cal Bruins series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The League Championship schedule will be announced after the Divisional Round finishes.
