|
Houston rode a good effort from starter Jim Fitzgerald to beat the Austin River Sharks at Mythology Coliseum. The final score was 3-1. Fitzgerald got the win, improving to 6-7. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 9 innings. Fitzgerald allowed 1 earned run. With the win, the Marshals have a record of 44-45.
José Rodríguez, who is tied for 7th in the CL with a .957 OPS, aided the Houston cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the second. For the game, the first baseman was 1-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
