Beavers Bang Out 9-5 Win Versus Seattle
|
The Baffin Island Beavers topped the Seattle Pikes by the score of 9-5, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Paco Arellano. Arellano was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Beavers. The Beavers have an impressive 57-27 record.
Arellano contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Baffin Island in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Arellano took a fastball from Jesús Martínez and stroked the home run to right. His 20th home run of the season allowed the Beavers to leap in front, 3-1.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Arellano told the Baffin Island Daily News.
