Pikes Lose Again, 9-1, to River Sharks
|
Austin starter António Rijo put a stranglehold on the Seattle offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the River Sharks to a 9-1 win. The slumping Pikes have lost 9 straight.
Tony Cruz chipped in for Austin with a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"António was throwing free and easy," said Austin manager Manny Pueblo.
